Hello,
Im looking to convert a recipe and I only have the (expired) version of beersmith, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me a hand with a conversion (or if you know conversions for amber LME off the top of your head, thats all I'd need!) Im looking to convert Jesters Dark-N-Scary from extract to all-grain (he doesn't have on, I already asked)

So here it is:

8 oz Caramel Wheat
2 oz Chocolate
2 oz Black Patent
1 lb Crystal 32: Carastan
5 lbs Amber LME
2 lbs Muntons Wheat extract

1 oz Chinook (60 min)
1 oz Perle (60 min)
1 oz Cascade (20 min)
.5 oz Willamette (2 min)

Heat 6 qts to 160*, steep grain for 45 min
add water to ~ 2.5 gallons, boil, add extract, hop to schedule

Its supposed to be like a dark ale. I'd really like to take a stab a brewing it. If anyone has some free time and a program, I'd appreciate it.

Replace the 2 lbs of extract with 2 lbs of wheat malt and 1 lbs of pale malt. That will get you close enough.

As a general rule, 0.6 lbs DME = 0.75 lbs LME = 1.0 lbs grains.

Wheat extracts are generally 60/40 blends of wheat/barley.
