Defective Ale Pale?

I currently have a beglian wit in my primary, which needed a blow off tube because of EXTREMELY active fermentation. On the rim of my Ale Pale, I have some dried out blow off that seeped out from under the lid. I checked to confirm that the lid was secured properly, and it is. The lid has not been messed with since brewday. I do have a little fear that it may have gotten contaminated, but because of the posative pressure, I'm not too concerned. But has this happened to anyone else? I'm trying to decide if I should buy another one.
