Hey all! So this is my first time trying to post a recipe for some feedback, so if I need to add any info, please let me know. This is also my first attempt at building a recipe from scratch, and not just modified one of the awesome recipes found from you guys. So trying to build a recipe to showcase these new lemondrop hops I just got. Wanted to do a pale ale with not too much of a malty backbone and more of a dry finish. This is what I came up with:
5G batch, BIAB
1.056 est original gravity
57.9 IUB
5.4 SRM
12 lbs pale malt 2 row
1 lbs 8 oz of Vienna malt
8oz of carafoam
4 Oz caramunich malt.
1 Oz Galaxy FWH
.5 Oz lemondrop FWH
1 Oz lemondrop 15 min
1 Oz lemondrop 10 min
.5 Oz lemondrop 5 min
1 Oz lemondrop flameout
I will be mashing in at about 151 for 60 min (or until full conversion) then 60 minute boil. Grains are all crushed at LHBS and I typically get around 60% efficiency. Using Beersmith to build recipe
I'm sure there are tons of ways to make this better, so let me hear your ideas! Thanks!!
