In my quest to be a Certified BJCP judge I judged my first comp today!! It was a lot of fun but man it was harder than I thought. Part of the reason is that they were short of judges (imagine that) so my partner and I had to judge two flights consisting of a total of 14 beers. I now understand what palate fatigue is all about!! It was also much harder than I realized to really put down on paper what you are tasting/seeing/smelling in a timely manner. I definetly need to practice before my tasting exam in August.

Cool - which comp?? I would like to do that at some point, but I don't see it in the immediate future.
