Can I use cane sugar instead of corn sugar in the Apfelwein recipe??

sorry for continuing to create new threads... but that 102 pages is just too much to read through!!

102 pages? Last I knew it was 217 pages.

Yes, you can use cane sugar as others have had success doing. I have not tried it but it is supposed to add more of a "cidery" flavor, which in this case would be a good thing.

holy crap it is 217 pages. even worse!!

can I use the same amount of cane sugar as corn sugar? or is the ratio different?

Corn sugar dissolves easier and more completely. I would stick to that, but bottling with cane is a good idea.

Corn Sugar dissolves completely and ferments completely adding no body or flavor to the apfelwein. It will contribute to the abv% and to the dryness.

Cane sugar will add some undesirable flavors IMHO, but will work.
