I am going to Kitchner, Stradford, Geluph, and Toronto next week for work. I would like suggestions on what to do and what beer to drink? Thanks everyone.
Kitchener: Not much in the way of beer being made here.
Stratford: Same.
Guelph: Wellington Brewery, F&M, Woolwich Arms Pub (for cask ale)
Toronto: Lots and lots of places! Bar Volo, C'est What, Mill Street... There are too many for me to list and I'll leave that to somebody else. I'm in Cambridge so more familiar with the Guelph, KW area.
If you do decide to come further south to Cambridge there is Grand River Brewing (where I brew a couple of days a week) and my place! Let me know and I'll work a brew day around you.
If you like German food, I highly recommend The Musket on Advance Rd. in Toronto. Good selection of German beers. There's a very good bakery next door too. My fiancee and I go there regularly when I go to visit her.
I am drinking a Wellington Arkell best bitter at the moment in my hotel and it is great. However a 6er costing $11 is unheard of in the states, so I am glad it is soo good.
Jack Astors in Kitchener try the Jambalaya, Charcoal steakhouse at the Radisson if they have the Artic Char it's great. Golfs steakhouse, try the goose liver at the salad bar. Are you at ATS?
