Just heard a rumor they have merged, anyone confirm or deny this?

If so surprised I haven't seen a thread on it here...if I missed it then carry on.

Nevermind, I am slow like mud on this one

Gonna go stick my head into a vat of shame now.

That'd be big news around here. But I doubt it.

Thats what I thought but apparently it is true.
They are keeping both names but combining buying power, shipping and receiving.
From what I saw this has been in motion since early March and supposedly just officially announced in the last week.

I can't locate any "official" release on this, just strong rumor.

Well, that could cut prices a little. Or improve availability.

I think the opposite, they can buy for cheaper but sell for more. They won't have to compete against eachother and can fix their prices higher than they have been selling for before the merger. You know what they say. If you can't beat em join em.

looking at their stock, styles of stick-on thermometers, pre-bagged grain/hops and stuff, it seems one uses Fermentap and one uses LD Carson as their Major wholesaler.

NB did change their shipping to be more like Midwest, but Midwest also added 1lb flatrate to be more like older-NB with the small stuff.
I haven't heard anything about them merging.
