I have a chest freezer that I want to turn into a fermentation chamber. My idea is to use the Johnson analog controller for the freezer. Then, use a fermwrap heater connected to a digital controller on my carboy inside the freezer. I'd set the freezer to about 40 F, and the fermwrap to my desired fermentation temp. What do you guys think? Has anyone used this method? Thanks, and happy brewing!!

Yeah, I don't understand why you would cool the chamber below what you want and then use something else to heat. Why not just set the freezer to the correct temp? That would be like cranking the AC and then wrapping yourself in an electric blanket to stay warm.
