Nope, it'll be fine. Grains are boiled in the traditional German brewing method known as decoction mashing.
 
alright thanks was worried that when i started boiling it would extract some kind of tanins. need to pick up a colander just in case this ever happens again. think the shop crushed em too fine
 
one more thing i tossed in the bag as soon as it hit 150F and now about 20 minutes later it's down to around 145. should i give it a 45 minute steep?
 
Since you're just steeping, temp doesn't matter as much. Just leave it in the hot water for 20-30 minutes and you'll be fine.
