Home brew or micro brew near Cape Cod?

I'm taking a road trip up to Cape Cod tomorrow night and I wanted to see if anyone had any good places to sample home brew or micro brew in the area? Or just anything beer related at all in that area.

I'm not aware of any breweries on the Cape mainland at all. There is a nice little vinyard in Truro that's worth checking out if you make it down to the outercape.

There is Cisco Brewery in Nantucket, however. You'll be able to find their staple beer "Sankaty Light" in many higher-end bars on the Cape. It's a light lager and is delicious. You may also find Whales Tail Pail Ale, also highly recommended and brewed by Cisco.

Have a good trip. The cape is a great place!

I think the only brewery technically on Cape's mainland is in Hyannis. It's called Cape Cod Beer. The other brewery close just before the bridge is in Buzzard Bay Brewery and I think they just went under a name change to Just Beer Brewing in the Westport New Bedford area. I did a search and here's their webpage. I think they're doing other small biz brews. http://www.justbeer.us/ Sounds interesting but I'd call them first before you take a side trip.

P.S. - If you're heading to Truro hit Wellfleet. It's not as congested being on the outer cape and there's a couple of good restaurants. Even an authentic French pastry place worth the stop: Pb Boulangerie Bistro http://pbboulangeriebistro.com/ The chef use to work at the Wynn out in LV. The best bar on the cape is a cooler and a sand dune.

I wasnt a fan up Buzzards Bay before but I had some Just Beer at the Boston Beer Co. It was ok. I heard that they also brew Pretty Things and Cisco at the brewery since they re-opened.

Babalu do you know if they sell PT or Cisco there? I like Cisco.

If you got some time...there is a brew pub on Martha's Vineyard...The Off Shore Ale House...The kettle of mussels is a must!

Again, Just Beer is MEH, a few good beers but as a side trip.....................
