Hey. Visiting SF this week with family. Any good breweries or beers I need to try while I'm here? Any places to buy Russian River or great bottle shops?

Be sure to check out Drakes in San Leandro. And yep, I'll come out and say it, I'd take one of theirs over Russian River these days.

Nabbed a six pack of drakes IPA. Pretty damn good stuff. This is getting a bit old but still very very nice beer.

Accidentally stumbled into magnolia today when my son needed to use bathroom. Got their IPA west coast style power something or other, forgot the name,mother had three IPAs English style.west coast style and imperial. Pretty tasty.

Add:
Toronado Bar. best beer bar. they sell Pliny's to go. 30+ tap list of amazing beers (sours, ipa, belgians etc.) no other place in town can !

Look for Almanac's sours (I saw their Gose at Toronado today).

Barrelhead Brewhouse (1 year old, 5 house beers, 20 guest taps, full bar and good food.. walk north a few blocks from Magnolia at Haight).

Patio outside bar: Zeitgeist.

Russian River, Lagunitas-- drive to
North bay for their beers. must do RR!!!

East bay: Faction, Rare Barrel, Drakes.

South bay: Freewheel, others in Palo Alto.

there are easily 10-20 great places I am forgetting.
