I just brewed my first stout and I am looking into getting the corny setup now I know when you have Guinness on tap you need a special spout and "blended gas" is this necessary for my homebrew? Just wondering if anybody else does this with the cory setup.

No, you don't have to. I've done a Guinness clone on straight CO2 and it turned out fine. The beer gas and stout faucet are on the wish list but there are a lot of more important things ahead of them. Just carb your stout lightly and you'll be fine.
