I screwed up last weekend and turned the gas up on the wrong keg. I was trying to carb up my IPA and turned the gas up to 20 psi. I planned on turning it down after a couple of days, but wound up working a few extra shifts out of town. When I got home today, I realized I had overcabonated a brown ale, not the IPA. Any chance the pressure will equalize if I turn the gas off and pull the blow off valve every so often??? Hate to ruin a half full keg, but right now it's just glasses of foam even with the gas off.

Yes, that's how you de-carb a keg. take it off the gas, and vent it every so often.

if you vent too much, re-carb.

No, I just let it set for the last day and a half, venting every few hours, and all is well. Thanks for the help
