QD part # for McMaster Carr?

I am purchasing a march 809, and I went to McM-C to get some QDs but I wasn't prepared for all of the choices. I am using 1/2 inch heavy duty tubing. thanks.

Best bet is to "search" and read all the posts to find the plus/minus of various QD's.

Are you happy with them? Is there a temp rating I should be worried about?

Those are the same brass QDs that I use (90° and the plug)--- work great!

Yeah, they work great and the price is right. They are rated up to 400° F, so no worries. Looking at their site today, I see the price has gone up slightly, but not much. (I'll go back and edit the prices.)

My hoses have a right-angle on one end, and a straight-thru on the other, which has worked out well. I like how the right angle one will hook on the edge of a kettle or tun and stay there.

Another nice thing is that a 1/2" hose will fit snugly over the plug just like a barbed fitting, so you can still use the fittings for temporary gravity feed purposes.

I like the polysulfone ones from usplastics.com. They are rated up to 280*F.



Just a thought...

I'm extremely happy with the Mcmaster brass ones.
