Some people claim American 2-row has plumper, softer kernels that are easier to mill. Personally, I can't tell a difference (physical or taste) but I wet-condition malt before milling so that may explain some of the difference.
We get Canadian 2-row in our Michigan Masher's group buy...I haven't noticed any differences either.

American's are usually plumper and softer so it's fitting the 2-row is too.
