I have tried in the past culturing yeasts and have gotten no where. I was doing Ommegang's yesterday, and I did the DME boiled up in the bottle, and today it looked like unfermented wort, no krausen nothing. A light went off in my head....just pour it into my flask and use my stir starter. Holy crap, today it looks like a kolsch krausen in that thing.
