was brewing some wheat beer last night and accidentally let some of the malt extract get to the bottom of the kettle and scorch. could this be a problem with the finished beer?

ive done that once, i was definitely able to taste it. was the heat on when you added the extract? i learned that if i pull the pot off the heat for a minute, it lets the bottom cool down a bit. then add the extract.

no it wasnt ruined, it was a bit of an aftertaste. it was a copper/red ale. what style did you brew?
