I'm trying to decide which type of kegging system I want to buy. I've found a pretty good deal on a dual keg system but can't decide which type of CO2 regulator to get.

One has a double gauge regulator: http://www.midwestsupplies.com/products/ProdByID.aspx?ProdID=7739

The other is a dual regulator with 2-way manifold.

They are the same price, but which one is better? They advertise the 2-way manifold as being able to disconnect one keg at a time, so can you not just turn off the pressure in the 2nd gauge on the other and effectively do the same thing?

Thanks in advance for you help!

The first link is a dual regulator. That's much better than just dual-gauge; it lets you set two separate pressures, so you can force-carb in one keg at high pressure and serve at normal pressures in the other, or serve one beer at a higher carbonation level than the other.

The one that's just a dual manifold (with two gauges) is only going to let you set one pressure, which is then sent to two kegs. Dual manifolds aren't that valuable; you can do the same thing with a $5 stainless steel T and a couple hose clamps (you wouldn't have a shutoff, but that's not that big a deal, as CO2's not going to leak out if the gas disconnect is, well, disconnected).

When you disconnect a gas line, it shuts the flow off. The prices are the same, get the dual-gage.
