my question is now, how can I avoid mold on my next kombucha batch? not sure what I did wrong to cause it to grow mold before even forming a full scoby..
 
Can you share with us exactly what you did from how much/type of tea, water, sugar, starter tea, storage container/location, temp, etc.? We can trouble shoot.
