Is it too late to brew a Christmas spice ale?

If you brew it now, it should be good to go by Christmas. Maybe 4-6 weeks in fermentation and another 8 weeks in the bottle and it should be excellent...
 
Just go extra light on the spices. They usually take a long time to mellow out...especially clove.

I agree. You should have enough time for the beer to age but the spices will take longer. Brew it, it will still be good after the holidays!!
 
I think most people add too many spices in the first place. But you're going to need a few months even if you don't add any!

Do it - worst case scenario it will be fantastic next xmas!
