My 20 gal stainless kettle will be here in days and with the 48 qt mlt in place im ready to bump a few select recipes up to 10 gallons. I have been doing 5 gal AG batches in my 10 gal pot for 3 years. Im also reluctantly moving to pellet hops for the usual reasons.

What should i be aware of going to 10 gal batches and from leaf to pellet? Any sugestions or links would be huge.:)

Your efficiency will most likely drop a little with the larger batch size, but recipes scale proportionately. Pellets have higher utilization than leaf hops in general ~10% more IBUs for the same amount.

Nice. Ive heard that 10 percent deal. Im planning to condition the grist for the first time. That should help my eff. So just double everything? Does anyone just multiply by 2.x to make up for lower eff?
