Wasn't all that impressed with my first two batches. Actually disappointed. They are not all that flavorful. Has a strong alcohol taste and yeasty. Guess keep on aging it

Details? There is nothing we can do to help without information.

- Recipes
- OGs
- FGs
- AG or extract
- Temp/length of fermentation
- Length of time bottled before sampling

Was it bottled or kegged? If bottled, how long was it in the bottles? What kind of beers were they, and what temperatures did you ferment them at? Just a few questions to get us started. Don't get too discouraged, making beer is awesome!

A Belgian dark strong ale and a Belgian dubbel. Been in bottles for month each

Yea I lost them in my moving I have some I'll have to find them here somewhere

Often a strong alcohol taste is just there because it's a higher alcohol beer, and if that is the case it will fade in time. But sometimes, a yeasty alcohol taste is present because fermentation was stressed- either too warm during fermentation or the yeast was underpitched by a lot. Those off-flavors may not fade much.
