My last batch never really took off in it's fermentation like they usually do. I had to add more yeast the next day after initial pitching. Now I have checked the gravity and it is 1.025. By this point I should be a 1.012 or lower. Is there any hope of saving this batch? Should I add more yeast now?

Thanks.

We need more info on the recipe and aeration. But before you add more yeast, try rousing it and raising the temperature. That will usually help it finish. It's also possible that it's just slowly chugging along.

How long has it been since you first pitched?

It has been 1 week since pitching. The only thing I did differently with this batch was I lost patience when cooling the wort and let stopped at 100 F, then pitched the yeast 6 hours later at about 90 F. However I pitched more yeast 24 hours later after it appeared to not have taken.
