Hello! So I have been toying with writing recipes vs. buying kits but I'm still not sure if myself. I wanted to make a simple black lager (will be my first Lager!) with a relatively low ABV.

All Input welcome!!!

Thanks in Advance!!!

Partial Mash
5 gallon Batch
ABV 4.3
IBUs 25.9

2 lb Amber Extract
5 lb Munich malt
8 oz Carafa III (debittered)
4 oz Caramel crystal malt 40L
4 oz Caraaroma

1 oz Spalt @ 45 min
.5 oz Sazz @ 30 min
.5 oz Sazz @ 30 min

WLP#830 German Lager

If you are going for Schwarzbier I would switch the amber extract for extra light or pilsner extract and drop the crystal malts.

for that munich malt, make sure its dark and not light. sometimes people will mistake that! good luck brewing, and hope it turns out well!
