I haven't seen this one before...even in Revvy's best of screw ups thread...maybe I did, but just don't remember...

I brewed to perfection, transferred into primary and then filled the air lock half full of sanitizer (last time I just used water...wish I did this time) and Then pushed it into the grommet on the lid...you guessed it, about half of the sanitizer got sucked into the pail before I realized what was happening and yanked the lock out.

I assume it's not going to be that big of a deal in the long run...but for now I'm pissed!!

It is a batch of Irish Red with Safale US-05 just sprinkled on top and I could tell it (the yeast) was lovin it even before I got the lid locked down because I let it sit a few mins and then lifted the lid and it was having a party already. Sg was 44 @ 74 degrees.
 
there's about 10,000 airlock suckback threads on here..your beer is fine...

You couldn't be more wrong. Any sanitizer in the beer is a recipe for disaster.
