Hi everybody :)

I have been looking at a lot of recipes lately and found some that have the craziest hop schedules, like DFH 120 min.

But do you have recipes that have the fattest grain bill or something with loads of different ingredients.

I am just asking for fun, there seems to a lot of threads on subjects like this, the best, the worst, the most expensive something and so on.

Something like a turbid mash that is "continuously grained" (like DFH hops, you add the grain over time) came to mind.

This is my biggest brew. It's 12% ABV. Very smooth and with great hops flavor.

Yeah thats exactly what I was fishing for :)

I have seen some crazy BarleyWine recipes, you must have some of those.

This barleywine was based on Lost Abbey's Angel's Share: 7 malts, sugar, split between brandy and bourbon soaked oak cubes in secondary. Sadly it was too close to the original... it never carbonated. With some CO2 injected it is a pretty good beer though, it did take ~18 months in the bottle to really get where it needed to though.

Recently I've become more and more a fan of simple recipes, especially in big beers. More complex recipes seem to take longer to age/mellow to where I like them (although I just did the Kate the Great recipe that is floating around, and that was 11 malts I think).

I actually dotted down the recipe for Kate the Great as well. I will make it with my father sometimes soon, he is a true believer in dark complex brews, stout being his favorite style.

And that is really why I started this thread, I want to bring him a recipe that is really impressive :)
After all, I started homebrewing with him, he has been at it for 40 years or more.
