I am going to keg my brew and while searching for a Corny Keg I found a really good price on a pony keg.

Is it possible to CO2/tap/refill/reuse these things? Is it more effort?

TIA

IF you are talking about a 1/4 barrel keg, Yea I do it a lot. Just google how to remove the spear. Process is pretty simple, just remove the spear, clean ,sanitize, fill and install the spear.

Not sure what size of keg you have, but my 7.5 gallon 1/4 barrel Sankey kegs are my favorite. I can fill a 6.5 gallon fermenter and keg all of my beer without having to bottle/dump/brew less to fit into a 5 gallon Corny.

Some 1/6 barrel Sankey kegs are out there too (5 gallon). Given the same size, I would prefer Corny for ease of cleaning, but wouldn't shy away from a Sankey. Once you're set up for those, you could even think about stepping up to 15gallon batches...
