Just got this a week ago, and just finished a hopper. Kind of crudely built, but should work fine. The bottom plate is some 1/2" aluminum I had laying around, the top is 1/4". I set it at .035" and will inaugerate it with 12 lbs for an amber ale tomorrow.

I got the 2A. I like that it is fully adjustable. Just loosen the set screws and lift up or push down on the handle, check with feeler gauges, then tighten the set screws.

I sure do like the way it worked for me yesterday! I only had 4 lbs in the hopper at a time, but still was 4-5" from the top. I hadn't mounted it on a wood base to sit on a bucket, so it was fun holding it whilst running my drill!
