Country living: Something new every day

You might wonder about this picture, what makes it special? This is a shot of a work-in-process. I framed the old garage's door opening and only have the drywall left. Note the cut just above and to the right of the hatchet.



This little critter had somehow climbed the wall, gotten into the top of the batt and fallen between the moisture barrier and the fiberglass. First time I've seen one inside.




Glad I found it before sealing the wall.

Why is he taking a nap on a tree stump?

Is that plate wet/moldy?

Sorry, couldn't help it since I deal with that for a living.

Was said hatchet your weapon of choice?

Hatchet right there, but it still has a head attached.

It's chopped in half, longways. The gory side is facing down.

I got a large mouse outside a friends house with a hatchet. Turned out to be a female with young ones inside. So I got a bunch with one swing!

And PETA's all PO'd about a fly.

My weapon of choice is a sawed off 12 gauge, fired from the hip, for Red Squirrels.
