cleaning/sanatizing question

My last batch (first one in a long time) I totally went stoopid and used dish detergent to "sanatize". Well everytime I clean dishes I get a taste/smell thing with my beer and vice versa. So I need to "bomb" my plastic fermenter for my next batch.

Should I get some oxy clean let soak then I'm thinking Iodophore for sanatizing?

Just want to make sure I have the clean vs. sanatizing thing covered plus make sure I get the dish soap taste out.
