I'm not very good with this stuff so I figured I'd ask before buying parts...

I bought this pump:

Pump Features:

* Inlet: 3/8" FPT & 3/4" MPT Mounting bracket included Outlet: 1/2" MPT
* 115V comes prewired with 3ft cord NO PLUG
* 1/25 horsepower, continuous duty 1.4 Amp motor
* Max flow of 7.5 gpm
* center inlet (center inlet shown in picture)

If I want a ball valve on the outlet I need a 1/2" coupling on my ball valve (right?) which one:? http://www.greatbargain.net/order/shop2.html

No need to ever remove the valve (nipple in my case) so it was a non-issue for me.

If you think you'll be taking the valve off and on and are concerned about stripping the threads, then a 1/2" coupler and 1/2" close nipple would be the solution.
