woo hoo.
My first brew (German Hefe kit from B3) is on it's way..

The Krausen has started to rise and the airlock is pumping..

I pitched the yesties yesterday at around 6:30 at about 66 deg.

This morning around 9:00 the airlock was slow but steady. I went to the airport to pick up the wife and when I got back the krausen had risen a little bit and the airlock was beating about 1 every 3 seconds.. and it's getting faster! :rockin:

ran to the pet store to get an stick on aquarium thermometer (no lhbs here). got home and stuck it on at the temp was around 72.. uh oh.. nanner city (so i've read)

I went ahead and moved the carboy into my 60 qt cube cooler and put two 20 oz coke bottles that i had frozen solid in there and covered it with a dark towel in hopes to cool it down some. (the B3 kit suggested 68 deg for best results.)

I'm gonna leave it alone for a while and go ahead and freeze a 2 liter bottle in case the other two don't work.. i actually might go ahead and fill it with some water..

but in the mean time..

I'm gonna relax, not worry.. and go mow the yard..
wait.. thats not how it goes.. oh well

oh well.. i'll figure something out.

Thanks to everyone for your help thus far..
Don't go anywhere as i'm sure i'll have some questions soon :)

cheers!

Will

Grats dude. The first of many more to come I hope.

Just be careful. Last wheat I did went up and out the airlock.
