Hi all,

I'm thinking of doing a pumpkin ale for my next batch and I was wondering if anyone had any good recipes they would be willing to share.

Thanks,
Chris

Thanks for the link, there are a lot of good recipes there. I was looking to start my Thanksgiving beer soon too!

Thanks for the input all. I decided to go with this one with a few modifications.

Cheers.

You could buy a premix of "pumpkin pie spices" off the rack.

Whatever you decide keep the cloves and allspice on the low side. They are pretty powerful and add a bite to your brew.

I made a batch for Thanksgiving last year and it was NOT ready (prime flavor)until way after New Years Day.

If you keep those spices low then you might have enough time.

Good luck.

The Brewmaster's Bible has a good recipe in it that I just tried. Still in bottles right now but will be tasting it soon. It's called Harvest Pumpkin Ale.
