Portland... now that is a cool town... I honeymooned there, might be a good idea to get another trip back, can sell the wife on a "2nd Honeymoon"...:ban:

My local bar just got Dogfish head palo santo marron and 90min, it's pretty awesome. They also just knocked out a keg of Bell's Bourbon Barrel aged Expedition Double Cream Stout, just in the last couple months it has become the best beer bar in the state with 22 taps and there is 20 more taps coming this summer.

But if they had Rodenbock Grand Cru it would take the jaw of life to get me out of that bar.

Trion Tavern, it's in New Haven. If you are ever coming through I highly suggest stopping in. I would rank it as one of the top 3 beer bars in the state and after the other taps come in this summer it will probably be number 1. The food is good and very affordable too, our homebrew club is going to start having our meetings there starting tomorrow.

There's Najas Tavern That Has 777 Beers And 77 On Tap, They're In Redondo Beach At The Pier, Down Below ,not On Tje Pier. Her Boat Where They Live Is Parked Out Front, .they Serve In 22 Oz Schooners/ Heffa Weitzen Glasses

This here is the best I've been to...and I hit it up whenever I'm in Richmond.

77 taps and over 250 bottles. It's heaven. And no, they don't have BMC, not even in bottles. But they do have Rodey Grand Cru on tap pretty much year round. It's so so so awesome.

Last time I was there, there was some *****ey businessman bragging to one of his coworkers on the phone that his hotel was right next to this great ale house with all this stuff on tap. Then he got off the phone and ordered a miller lite. No joke. They served him an eggenberg pils instead...closest to it.

Flannery's Draft List in Mercersburg PA QUOTE]

That's good to hear! I am going to be in Williamsport, MD next month for a week or so and it's good to know there is somewhere in a 20 mile radius to get good beer!! Do you know anywhere else closer to Williamsport that I can check out? Maybe somewhere in Frederick, MD?

Close to williamsport, if you want OK beer within 5 miles, there is a restaurant called orchard garden that has a couple nice beers on tap (dogfish head/flying dog). There is a brewpub in Frederick (Brewer's alley) but I've never been there. Flying dog brewery is in Frederick and has open tastings on saturdays (I forget the times...look on web)... That's about it around here. Flannery's was more impressive that all that, food is better and beer is wonderful.. I recommend Sat nights after nine for the band/bar.. usually a cover. There's a solid crowd with good small town folks.. Usually Irish/Folk music..

Beer Sellar in Indianapolis... Some nice choices there, but nothing really extremely rare or uncommon.

Of those 41, what's the tap turnover like? I've come to prefer my locals with the limited tap selections that have a faster turnover compared to some of the others with a more extensive list.

Pretty quickly, actually. I see new things on tap every week to 10 days.

God, I hope you're kidding. The Yardhouse is terrible.

What's wrong with the Yardhouse? I have never been there, but there is one opening in my neighborhood next month. There is nothing else here that even comes close to the taplist that they say they have. I was really looking forward to them opening. I really hope they don't suck, lol.

Wasn't saying i liked it, just that they advertise having lots of taps. Yeah, I know, for downtown fare I usually stick to patrick's II

The thread isn't about most though, it is about best. Downtown Johnny Browns has something like 12 taps and is in the same neighborhood and all 12 taps will blow away the Yardhouse in a second. Even The Local is doing a better job of serving good beer.

Curt, I don't know about in other communities, but the Yardhouse is a gimmick here. It is in the middle of the party disctrict, and I am pretty sure most of the people who go there do so because of that gimmick. Could I find a beer that I wanted to drink there? Sure. Will it be served with the same care as the good beer bars in our town? No way. It can't hold a candle to O'Briens, Hamiltons, Toronado, Blind Lady, DT Johnny Browns, Stone, either Pizza Port location, Ritual Tavern, and more.

I guess I'm just saying more does not mean better. Especially with inflated prices surrounded by awful people.

The one here is terrible. Big selection, but not much worth a damn.

I hear what you are saying carnevoodoo and double e5. Unfortunately for me, I live in South Florida where a bar that has good beer on tap is not a reality. So far, the best place with the most variety is a place called the Ale House, but their selection is not close to being good. Every bar here is a BMC joint where you are lucky to find Stella on tap for $15 a pitcher. I am now seeing Budweiser American Ale in three of the closest establishments to my house which is repulsive. A bar that has a good belgian on tap is unheard of here so I am going to give Yardhouse the benefit of the doubt and give them a shot.

I'm heading up to Flannery's again today, I'll let you guys know if the list has changed... I'm very exicted..

This is about a half mile from where I work in Tulsa, ok. Pint nights on Mondays you keep the glass and Wednesday is $3 burger night. Awesome place to go to after work, but gets a little packed on Wednesdays. Going here on Sunday for my brothers 21st Bday. He wants to get the Grand Reserve Jereboam. Beer menu changes every month and is updated on the site, I'm assuming the menu link will be broken in a couple days for the April menu.

Ashley's Ann Arbor. "imports and micros only. No domestics."

And none of that stinkin Westland location.
