Hah!
9 yr necro thread quickly turns "what people look like" into a discussion of "junk" posting and smoking corn.

That about tracks right.
:)
I'm really interested in meeting your standards and preferences, but exactly what part of this thread seems out of place to you here in the drunken ramblings & mindless mumbling forum??

to me this isn't a necro thread, it's an undead thread!

and balrog, my third eye tells me your closed to the world... (which i think is actually good, and smart! wish i could master it! :mug:)

We had corn on the cob with dinner again last night. I'm googling different ways of preparing it but who am I kidding. A steaming hot ear rolled through salted butter is really hard to beat. I'm going to have it as often as I can while it's in season, then I'll dream about it all winter long.

Salted butter, plus tarragon.

When I'm sitting here in my garage reading HBT, as I do almost every day, when reading posts from well-known members my mental picture is always of a guy in his mid-to-late 40's/50's, with a lot of time on his hands and more money than me.

Hey, I'm not *mid* 40s yet. I don't get there until next week when I turn 44.

The childlike pic in my avatar was probably circa 2008, so I look a little more "distinguished" these days lol.

Mebee closed a bit, heck if it weren't for Mrs Rog, I'd proly never go much of anywhere. We just did a week bicycle trip near Madison/Milwaukee and came back with a few more pathogens than desired but wasn't too bad Covid, just a touch of lingering fatigue. If it weren't for my tennis buddies I'd never get through my brew supply.

Yeah, I laughed out loud when I typed that.

Back before you were born (on this forum), there was a time when porn was allowed. It started out, somewhat innocently, as "Brew babes", but expanded quickly. Was popular as the "boneyard" for a long time. Unexpectedly, some users on this forum posted pics of themselves, nude. Yes, it happened. Then folks posted pics of their partners in the nude.

That area disappeared VERY quickly when a certain dude started posting pics of his junk. That did happen.

I wonder who in this thread would contribute to that thread.
I’d do it. Nothing crude of course, but tasteful and a little playful 😂

I've been brewing feverishly since I started in mid '18; that is, up until last fall. 65 batches under my belt and lately I've been playing with longer aging projects and brewing sours, and you know what I really enjoy the relaxed pace and creative freedom of aged ales. My first big project was a RIS I bottled at Christmas in 2018 and with just a couple of champagne bottles left its just passing its prime and it's a solid beer I'm proud to share. Time is the best ingredient, and well-rehearsed brewing practices take all of the stress out of it. I've got a keg of chocolate pretzel stout just passing 14 months, I'll tap it around Thanksgiving and see where it's at. A tripel I brewed back in Feb didn't attenuate as well as I'd like so I'm going to pull that keg, pitch some Brett and put a spunding valve on it. Time is my friend, and that's the hardest lesson I've learned since I began brewing.

wait? you've only been brewing since 2018? for some reason i would have imagined ~2010 or so.... :mug:
2018 was when I "came out of the closet" and built my 3200W electric BIAB rig and started brewing seriously and regularly. Before that I dabbled in wine and mr. beer kits going back to 1996...
