Storing LME

I bought 4kg of LME today in hopes of brewing tonight, but it seems life has gotten in the way, and now I won't be able to brew until next weekend. Is my LME (in an airtight container) fine at room temp for a week, or should I put it in the fridge?

it's fine at room temp for a week or so if it's lme. dme is another story

Liquid malt, I'd definitely put it in the fridge. DME can be kept at room temp indefinitely.

you'll be fine a room temp. can't hurt to put it in the fridge but it's certainly not necessary. for longer term storage, as in months, i've kept LME in the freezer. fyi the stuff doesn't freeze solid.
