I just received a bag (~1/4lb) of wild hops from a guy at work who knew I homebrewed. He picked them Sunday and I am wondering a couple things:
1. Do I need to dry them in my dehydrator before I vacum pack and freeze until I am ready to brew?
2. As far as using the I was thinking I would make a pale ale with medium bitterness using hops of know AA (magnum probably) say ~30IBU and then use the wild hops for flavor additions 10-15min, 5 min and flame out. Then maybe an ounze as a dry hop to see what they taste like.

Probably only make a 2.5-3gal batch just to see.

Thoughts... suggestions?

That makes them damn near worthless unless I can get more... wouldn't you think?

Dry them out and see how much you end up with. Perhaps make a batch with just those hops. See if the guy who gave them to you has any more you could pick?
