WTF is this about? Mold!

I opened up my keezer today to pull an almost empty keg to take to a buddies house tomorrow and found mold on the rubber portion on 2 of my kegs out of 3 that was not there a week or so ago. These kegs have been in there for months. What causes this? I wiped the portion down with a lysol wipe.

so damp rid is a good solution, but what about a more DIY solution? For my Humidor I use both heartfelt beads, and the silicone kitty litter for humidifcation control. The beads both absorb and release moisture. I'm sure the kitty litter has the same moisture absorbing properties.

Anyone used it in a keezer to lower the RH? I may throw some in a jar this evening and see how it works.
