hi,

this is my first brew and my first AG.

I'm a bit worried that my beer is infected. is it supposed to look like this?

It is an German Hefeweizen with a standard topfermenting yeast which came with the pack. the first 24h were active fermentation with lots of bubbles in the airlock, right now it's at 6 days in the primary. taste is pretty narrow-chested and a bit sour, probably thats how a green beer taste like and the lack of a wheat yeast, dunno.

best regards

jan

Is it just this picture that you are asking about or the othe pictures in your gallery?

Some of your other pictures look like my lambic with a pellicle forming.

That pic looks to me like it is a nearly fallen krauzen made with Nottingham yeast...Or one of the other yeats that leave what I call Krauzen Curdles....in other words no different one of of the countless variations of normal fermentation.

it is just the picture above. the others aren't mine.
if it's normal then i can sleep well ;)

hope it turns out drinkable. next batch is going to be kölsch-style beer.

cheers
