Sanke as Fermenter

Hello everyone,

I have found a 15.5 Anheiser busch for sale and was wondering if this keg could be used as a fermenter? Also is this keg made of SS?

Lots of threads here on the subject. I have 6 of em. Cleaning is the most common "issue" but it can be done. Hell of a lot cheaper than a conical. Try the search function along the top bar.

Yes, most kegs are made from stainless.

And yes, you can ferment in them. Either by sticking a rubber carboy cap around the top and attatching a blow off hose, or by buying a kit like the ones sold at brewershardware.com
