Hi again all...Just returned from a trip with the fam to Disney World...Had a great time...There are a few pubs here that are worth mentioning...Big River Grille & Brewing Works at the Boradwalk (pretty good beer), Raglan Road at Downtown Disney, and The Celebration Town Tavern in Celebration Florida...All were pretty good, but what I would like to know is, What are the IBUs in Beverly, the soft drink found at EPCOT...Holy Cow...Talk about Bitter...lol...

Very cool! I'm pretty surprised actually. Hats off to Disney for having craft beers available. Last I was in Disney, I had lunch at the British pub in Epcot. Had my first (and last) Black Velvet there. That's Guinness and champagne. I had to choke it down.

Maybe I was there at a bad time, or my standards are too high, but I didn't like the Big River Grille at all when we went this past July. I had their sampler, and I have to admit I was pretty disappointed.

My problem was mostly just that the beer was very bland. Their biggest beer was a red ale at 5.4%. None were what anyone here would qualify as "hoppy". Of the 6 beers they had, I think 3 were light lagers (Southern Flyer? Gadzooks?), one was a wheat (Wowzer's Wheat), one was the (Rocket Red) red ale and the last, I never found out what it was, since the bartender couldn't remember, and it had no name on the tap handle(!).

The worst part was their wheat beer - it smelled like hot garbage. Literally. I wish I knew a better descriptor than that, but that's really what it reminded me of - a dumpster full of garbage on a hot day. I don't know what the problem was, maybe dirty lines, maybe fermentation temperature issues, but it tasted AWFUL.

I've been to all 3 and to me... the best dining experience was at Raglan Road. The beers on tap were good, food was great, and the entertainment was also cool.....Big River Grill was 'ok'...but always packed.
