Okay so I have alot of empty wine bottles and their corks laying around (im not a slob lol, i do alot of oil painting so I need things for still lifes)

After cleaning and sanitizing, can i prime and condition beer in a wine bottle and just pop a cork in there?

I've heard that you can use some champagne bottles because they have the "lip" that you can crimp the caps on to. Anyone else ever done this?

General rule of thumb is that if it previously held a carbonated beverage and you can cap it properly, it will work for beer.

You should try your hand at making wine, you can use those bottles for aging it. Lots of fun and you can make some pretty good stuff.
I just made my first cabernet kit. It makes 6 gallons or about 30 bottles. The kit was $110 and comes with everything you need minus the corks and corking device.
