6 gallons = 24 quarts. 50 is plenty! You could even do a 10 gallon mash in that one. I do 15 gallon batches with a 60 quart Ice Cube - it's the bare minimum, but it works!
 
Cool, I like the set up I saw on a few of your earlier post regarding this subject. I am currently doing my mash in a 5gal cooler that has no outlet so I dump it into two 5gal buckets (one with holes ) to sparge. regarding this Igloo cooler, do you need to drill through it ,and if so what do you use to seal it?
