Hello from Topanga,CA and Pepperdine University

Hey guys, my name is Brandon and I live in Topanga (just outside of Malibu in SoCal). I'm 25 years old and am a student at Pepperdine University in Malibu. I'm originally from Seattle which has to be one of the best places for a good micro-brew in the country. I moved down here about a 1 1/2 years ago and this is the reason that I have decided to try brewing my own beer, there are no good micro-breweries down here. I just started last weekend with a British Pub Porter kit that I bought from a local brew shop. I'm already planning to do an Irish Red for my next and can't wait to learn more.
