I'm wondering which is best. (i.e. closest to real 2-hearted) Has anyone tried both, or have comments about either one relative to the real thing?

I did the northern brewer and it was very close. I also did the AHS and it was a good beer but not close at all. Two Hearted is 100% Centennial hops as I understand and my AHS kit had no centennial hops at all in the kit.

I did a similar one to eschatz's and the first 5 gallons of 10 were excellent but not all that close IMO. Granted I've only had a few bottles of it to compare. My second 5 gallons of the batch were aged longer and I doubled up on the dry hop. It really improved the beer and from memory I think it was much closer to the original. Really does not matter as it is a superb drinking IPA as brewed.
