Everywhere i've looked i've seen the comparison of BB Plastic Carboys versus Glass, but no one has mentioned plain plastic carboys. the reason I ask is there's a local merchant who's in the process of getting out of the water bottling biz and has a bunch of unused plastic carboys. If I could get them reasonably cheap I think they'd work okay. i probably just wouldn't want to do any long fermentation in them because of O2 leakage? does this sound like a decent thought or am I wasting my time pursing this?
