Just scored an 18 cubic foot chest freezer from Craigslist. I have already ordered an Stc1000. Full time lagering chest.

I'd, of course, be happy to help you wire up the STC-1000. I've done four of them so far (my three and Ben's). No smoke or fire and they all work!
 
I lucked out and found a great deal on a 12 cf commercial fridge on CL, and purchased a controller from ebay. Works like a charm, and I can get it down to 33 degrees, which is also beneficial for cold crashing. Prior to this, I did the bucket and frozen water bottles during those warmer months.
