Quick question....

I bought some yeast nutrient to use in my cider, but I was wondering if I should put it in my pale ale I've got on the stove now. Safele us-05 dry yeast.

Thanks.

I would. Mostly because there's no reason not to, and I have a 4oz packet of Wyeast nutrient - enough for 44 batches. Warm fuzzies from thinking you're doing something nice for your yeasties are enough, no?

I always use it. I either use it in my starters for liquid yeast or throw it in the wort with 10 minutes remaining if I'm using dry yeast. Give the yeasties some love and they'll repay you with some killer brew.
