How long to cold crash

I racked an American Cream Ale last night from the primary to a secondary after 11 days in the primary. Tonight I moved it from the basement into a fridge with the temp turned down pretty low.....I have put a therm in to monitor the temp, but I'm curious how long cold crashing (to get the sediment to drop out) normally takes? I know I'll have to leave it in the fridge for at least 7 days, just curious how long it normally takes.
 
I'm also curious. I guess it depends on the temp?
Do people that cold crash do it for every beer or just certain styles?
