How long to cold crash

I racked an American Cream Ale last night from the primary to a secondary after 11 days in the primary. Tonight I moved it from the basement into a fridge with the temp turned down pretty low.....I have put a therm in to monitor the temp, but I'm curious how long cold crashing (to get the sediment to drop out) normally takes? I know I'll have to leave it in the fridge for at least 7 days, just curious how long it normally takes.

I'm also curious. I guess it depends on the temp?
Do people that cold crash do it for every beer or just certain styles?

Usually 24 hours is enough to get much of the "stuff" to drop out, but I've gone a day longer with good results.

I've gone as short as a day as long as three. Either worked fine.
