I have been keeping my beer in my bathroom until it is carbed then putting it upstairs in an unused bedroom to age or just as someplace to store it. The issue is that this room is completely unheated and this winter it will be freezing ( literally) in there. How cold is too cold for storage? I can close off part and put a small heater to keep it above freezing if need be.

Make sure it is over about 30 degrees. Most beer won't freeze at 30, so that should be safe. Any colder and you will get ice. Most beer is not stored below 38 commercially, so that might also be a good number to shoot for.

Well if you have to use this area, realize that you are going to be lagering your beers, all of them. As long as the beer doesn't freeze that is not a bad thing, just realize that it is going to happen.
